TikTok for business: when it fits, and how to test it in 30 days

TikTok can show your best ideas to new people very quickly. Whether it is worth your time depends less on the platform than on your buyers and on whether you can post consistently.

When TikTok tends to fit

When it often does not

The 30-day test

  1. Pick two formats you can sustain — for example, a scripted talking head and a screen breakdown.
  2. Post at least three times a week for four weeks, using your strongest buyer questions.
  3. Judge against your own median, not against viral accounts: saves, shares, real comments, profile visits and enquiries.
  4. Decide: promote TikTok, keep it in maintenance, or stop.

Make it native

Open fast with a clear subject and stakes; speak directly; keep on-screen text short and aligned with what you say. Reusing an idea from your long-form is fine — change the hook and the edit for the platform.

Stay within the rules

Label paid content, do not promise results, and follow the platform’s rules on reused content.
